About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SQL Developer with a solid background in MySQL and expertise in AWS cloud technologies. As an SQL Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and scalable databases in a cloud environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into optimized SQL queries and data models. This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance databases using MySQL within the AWS cloud environment.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
• Collaborate with application developers and data engineers to ensure seamless integration and data consistency.
• Implement best practices for data security, backup, and recovery to maintain data integrity and availability.
• Perform database tuning and optimization to improve query performance and overall system efficiency.
• Conduct data modeling and schema design to meet business requirements and enhance data usability.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose appropriate solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in SQL, MySQL, and AWS cloud technologies.
• Document database designs, schema changes, and maintenance procedures.

Key Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an SQL Developer with expertise in MySQL.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, particularly RDS (Relational Database Service), EC2, and S3.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing techniques.
• Familiarity with data modeling and schema design concepts.
• Solid understanding of database security, backup, and recovery mechanisms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• AWS certification is a plus.
