About the role
We are looking for a driven HR Compensations and Benefits that enjoys contributing to creating the best working environment. The ideal candidate has a people oriented mind set, combined smoothly with best business interest.
As a Compensation and Benefits specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing, managing and administering our employees' rewards, perks and benefits.
Your role will be extremely important as you will be developing programs that to improve performance, engagement and satisfaction of our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Define a fair, equitable and competitive total compensation and benefits package that fits and is aligned to our company’s strategy and business goals
- Develop a consistent compensation philosophy in line with work culture and organizational objectives
- Ensure that compensation practices are in compliance with current legislation (pay equity, human rights, etc)
- Use various methods and techniques and make data based decisions on direct financial, indirect financial and nonfinancial compensations
- Assess employees needs by conducting organizational psychology surveys to find out what motivates and engages employees
- Participate in salary and labor market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits
- Differentiate pay systems to invest in the segments of workforce that contribute the most value
- Deploy effective communication strategies and success metrics
- Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices
- Conduct periodic audits and prepare reports
- Administers employee insurance programs including life, disability, and health insurance plans.
- Administers employee savings plans that may include the company’s plan, personal savings plans, and deferred compensation programs.
- Advises and informs employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions.
- Researches and compares incentive compensation plans offered by demographically comparable organizations; assesses competitors plans and makes recommendations for enhancements or improvements required to keep the organizations plans competitive and effective.
- Facilitates accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers.
- Completes records, reporting, and other documentation required by state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
- Conducts employee surveys, census, and other research and demographic efforts required to collect accurate quotes from benefit providers.
- Identifies and selects providers and plans based on quotes, available benefits, and prior experience.
- Monitors administrators and insurance providers reports to ensure the organizations compliance with plan requirements.
- Ensures the organizations and plans compliance with the applicable law.
- Maintains knowledge of economic conditions, labor market, and other factors related to ensuring the organization provides competitive and reasonable benefits and compensation scales and structures.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in compensation and benefits administration.
- Advises and prepares budget for projects proposed
- Works closely with the HR Manager to assist on organizational tasks
- Assists with admin tasks
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Thorough knowledge of connected law.
- Proficient with Excel advanced level - MUST
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related required.
- 2 years of experience working with compensation or benefits strategies
- Min. 2 years of experience as a Generalist HR
